Haven’t written here in a dog’s age

Probably because I’ve been spending more time at my ‘primary’ blog and just been rather neglectful of this one.  Probably a good idea to quit that and start posting here again.

I suppose the other reason is that this blog was sort of set up on a whim, as a non-kink blog since my other one was designed to be a kink primary blog, but with tribs and tribulations became a kink friendly but not kinkified blog, if that makes any sense. Spending time in a LDR (Long Distance Relationship) [again] with someone that is kinky, but you don’t have the ability to get together as much as you’d both prefer, puts a strain on posting about kinky things.  In my opinion, if you’re not actually doing it, then you’re on the sidelines looking in.  And no one likes to be able to be in that position.  I certainly don’t.

As I can see from the calendar, the last time I posted here was August of 2018.  Wow.  8 months.  And my last post was about making chili.  Exciting!  It just so happens, that’s what I’m making for dinner tonight.  It snowed here today.  That’s right.  Snow.  On April 27 no less.  And it’s supposed to snow more tomorrow.  Oy.   At least according to the Google Weatherman, it’s not supposed to amount to more than an inch or two in the morning.  And by afternoon it will have all melted, if even it arrives at all.   The high tomorrow is supposed to be 51°F/11°C.  Not good weather for snow sticking, which to me is a good thing.  For someone that likes playing with my snow blower, it’s time to play with my roto-tiller, and lawn mower.

Anyway, wanted to get this thing started again, so here’s my first post in a while.  Just finished my chili dinner and it was pretty darn good.  I have to be up for work in the morning, retail doesn’t allow for weekends off, so Sundays are just another work day for yours truly.

More later, welcome back to me!

Going off the recipe page

I’m in the midst of making my first batch of chili in quite a while.  I had an inkling that there might have been a problem earlier when I was at work, but I figured that I had enough ingredients on hand, but I really should have consulted with my wife before coming home.  Sure enough, when going to make it, I discovered I didn’t have any crushed tomatoes (I normally use a 29 oz can per pound of ground beef to 3 cans of red kidney beans).  I did happen to have 2 small cans of tomato paste, so I quickly Googled the problem, and made tomato sauce from the paste, added a little extra water to thin things out, and added in the beans to cook with the rest of the ingredients.

Anyway, it seems to be coming out all right.  I’ll know for certain after serving up the feast and getting my wife’s opinion about what I did and how I managed not to make another trip to the grocery store.

At any rate, I have the beginnings of a fledgling shopping list for tomorrow.  Need to restock the pantry, dilly dilly!
